"but often in the world's most crowded streets,
but often, in the din of strife,
there rises an unspeakable desire
after the knowledge of our buried life ...
a longing to inquire
into the mystery of this heart which beats
so wild, so deep in us"
matthew arnold
My name is Natalie Ann Hopkins. I am a quiet girl from Florida who doesn't like the summer heat or being tan. Currently, I am away from home studying the glorious literature and language of English. I am going to write words for a living and hopefully, in general, live a beautiful life. I like warm chocolate chip cookies and anything that involves carbs. I like reading books and smelling the scent of ink and paper when no one is looking. I like big sweaters and pretty movies and fields full of wildflowers. I like laughing and being happy and I probably like you, too.
This is my weird, public journal, I suppose. And I don't know who is reading this. And I don't know why I am writing this, except that I, too, am longing to know the mystery of this heart.
